Mountaintop Maids is a residential cleaning business started by Covenant College alumni Tera Davidson and Jordan Doctor, in 2013. Our mission was to provide the best and most trustworthy cleaning services in Chattanooga. In five years of business we have built our client base on the principles of honesty, hard work, and pride in a job well done.

Company Description

Mountaintop Maids provides premier, customized cleaning to residents, small offices, and realtors in Chattanooga. Most of our clients are located on Lookout Mountain and the historic district of Saint Elmo. We pride ourselves on our customer service and work to ensure that each client receives a personal touch when it comes to their home or business. We have grown from having a handful of clients and two employees to a current number of 65 clients and 16 employees. The office and storage facility are recent additions to our business and are conveniently located in St. Elmo.


Job Description  

Mountaintop Maids (MTM) is currently seeking a General Manager. This full-time position would be responsible for the hiring and training of employees, meeting with potential clients to develop job quotations, overseeing client care, and basic bookkeeping. We are a people-based company; the person who is hired for this position must be able to interact with our employees and clients simultaneously in order to oversee both quality control in our services and recruit and keep top quality employees. Many of them are college students, and with proper supervision they quickly learn the necessary skills to meet the high standards of excellence our clients have come to appreciate. In addition, our general manager needs to be able to handle the business-related tasks such as payroll, taxes, basic accounting, and scheduling.

As the General Manager oversees and directs the operations of MTM. The GM also is responsible for strategic marketing and communications planning and execution, office budget oversight, management of all staff members, websites and electronic media advertising, and social media advertising.

Salary: $33,000 (full-time)

Requirements and Competencies

  • Reliable transportation

  • Excellent people skills

  • Basic knowledge of Quick Books Accounting system

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently of daily supervision

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
